The Harry Wait Trial

In 2022, founder and former President of HOT Government, Harry Wait, exposed a flaw in MyVote Wisconsin. He requested the ballots of two public officials, Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Democratic Racine Mayor Cory Mason, to be sent to his home. Once he did that, he brought the unopened envelopes to the Sheriff’s office to show the flaw in the system, to which the Sheriff called for this vulnerability to be fixed. When the Wisconsin Elections Commission became aware of this, instead of fixing the vulnerability, they went after Harry by suing him.

On March 23-24, 2026, Harry’s trial was held. The jury found him guilty on two counts of election fraud and one count of identity theft. Now Harry is facing prison time and his sentencing is scheduled for May 27.

It is clear that Harry is far from anything of what the far-left and political establishment call him. Harry shined a light on what needed to be known to protect the republic. Harry is a Patriot.

The Spring Election

The April 7th spring election is coming up fast. On the top of the ballot will be the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. The two candidates on the ballot are Maria Lazar and Chris Taylor. Maria Lazar is an independent, constitution-following judge, while Chris Taylor is a far-left Democrat. Chris Taylor served in the Wisconsin legislature as a Democrat and was ranked as the most liberal out of all in the state. She also put on her FCC paperwork when filing to run for this position that her party is Democratic, not non-partisan. Maria Lazar is the most qualified candidate and the choice could not be more clear, especially after the debate.

Also on the ballot will be Anthony LoCoco, candidate for District II Court of Appeals. District II covers Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago Counties. Anthony LoCoco is running unopposed as the other candidate who was running did not qualify for ballot access.

Many local races in Manitowoc County have candidates running unopposed, but there are few races that there are two candidates. One is Manitowoc Common Council District 6. The candidates are Eric Sitkiewitz (incumbent) and Ben Hilburger (challenger). Eric Sitkiewitz is the liberal candidate and Ben Hilburger is the conservative candidate.

Another race is for Manitowoc Common Council District 5. This is currently held by William DeBaets, who is conservative and is running for reelection, and is being challenged by liberal Mason Benzinger.

William DeBaets is also running for the open seat that is Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors District 5. The liberal running for that position is Jill Ann Pope.

Both Mason Benzinger and Jill Ann Pope are members of ALLY, short for the Alliance for Learning and Leading our Youth. This is the far-left special-interest group, which can accurately be described as a hate group, that took over the Manitowoc Public School District Board of Education (which all seven members are part of ALLY) after forming in 2022. This group supports keeping detailed and illustrated pornographic books in the hands of kids, boys in girls’ bathrooms, out-of-control government spending, and everything that Marxists stand for. This group is the nastiest group of people you will encounter, attacking anyone who challenges them, including private citizens, and do not deserve one seat on any board and public office.

While there are only two candidates for the Manitowoc school board on your ballot, it is fine to not vote for either. Both are far-left Democrats.

Two County Board supervisors not seeking re-election are James Falkowski and Ryan Phipps. We appreciate their service to the community.

Lt. Governor Race Heats Up

On March 16, Republican candidate for Lt. Governor David Varnam released the following statement on his opponent Will Martin.

Three days later, Lt. Governor candidate Will Martin released this response.

On August 11, voters will have the opportunity to choose among three Republican candidates in the primary for Lt. Governor. Whether it is Will Martin, David Varnam, or Nick Polce, after the primary, the Lt. Governor will be put on the same ticket as Governor in the fall, meaning you will circle one for Governor/Lt. Governor.

RPW Candidate Viability Policy

Every four years, all five statewide constitutional offices are up for election at the same time. These are the offices of Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and State Treasurer. The Republican Party of Wisconsin has a viability policy for candidates running for these positions to speak on stage and be considered for endorsement by the delegates at the RPW state convention. This policy caused a lot of controversy and frustration during the 2024 Senate race when one candidate wasn't allowed to speak on stage when she didn't meet these requirements. If you are not the RPW’s preferred candidate, no one from the party will reach out to you to notify you of these requirements. The following is the policy.

The RPW Post-Primary Unity Pledge mentioned in the 9th viability factor is the following.

At the RPW state convention, if more than one candidate is eligible for endorsement, they are required to receive 60% of the delegate votes. There will be the option to not endorse a candidate. Either way, many have agreed all this does is cause division. We have a primary for a reason. Let the voters decide who they want.

Manitowoc & 6th District GOPs Hold 2026 Caucuses

On January 31st, the Manitowoc GOP held their annual caucus. At this caucus, the constitution was amended (you can read more about the controversy surrounding these changes from the stories here and here). When a member asked if the proposed changes can be amended, that person was told no, it can only be approved. One part of the amended constitution was the addition of two at-large members to the executive board. After the amended constitution was approved, the vote took place to elect the at-large members. One member elected was Brayden Myer. This term goes until next year, which then the term will be elected for two years, like all executive board positions that are elected in odd-numbered years. Also announced at this caucus was the Chair will not be seeking re-election next year.

On March 7th, the 6th District GOP held their annual caucus. At this caucus, Brayden Myer was unanimously elected to be on the Rules Committee for this year’s Republican Party of Wisconsin convention. Also announced was the resignation of the Vice Chair, Timothy Bachleitner, of the 6th District GOP. After the caucus, the executive board held interviews with four candidates looking to take that spot. Two candidates were already on the executive board, which meant after the interviews they stayed on the call to discuss who to choose while the other two candidates who weren’t on the executive board had to leave the call. The executive board chose Kathy Broghammer to be the Vice Chair, which now leaves the position of Secretary open.

After the 6th District GOP Caucus, an email went out to the members of the Manitowoc GOP from the county party Chair talking about what the party has been up to the past few months. In that email, there was a mention of a Patriot who ran for a position within the party but didn’t make it, and the language used to describe that was demeaning.

Eau Claire GOP “Unity” Resolution

The Republican Party of Eau Claire County has what they call their “Endorsements and Party Unity Resolution” which they use like policy (resolutions are statements of beliefs, not policy, by-laws, or part of a constitution). The way they use this like policy is if candidates do not agree with this resolution, they will not be allowed to speak at any of their county party events. The person pushing this toward the candidates, and pushing the whole party to do what he says, is former Eau Claire GOP Chair Scott Bolstad. When candidates emailed the chair of the party about speaking at an event, he forwarded it to Scott Bolstad to do the dirty work.

The following is the resolution.

If you are the party's preferred candidate, the establishment will get you ways around this. At this year’s Eau Claire GOP caucus, two candidates for a statewide office attended. Neither agreed to the resolution so neither were listed to speak, but that didn’t stop the party from allowing the preferred candidate to step up and give him exposure by letting him perform an agenda item.

The fact of the matter is it's things like this that cause people to not want to be involved with their county Republican Parties. If the Republican Party truly wants unity, its needs to stop silencing conservatives that are willing to step up and say the truth. During primaries, a county party needs to show neutrality among the candidates, and many have, but we do not see that among all. The GOP still has a ways to go before claiming to be unified.
